Alcohol suspected in multi-car accident at Street Rod Show

Alcohol was suspected to have been a contributing factor in a crash that left two people hurt and several cars damaged.

63-year-old Patricia Held was arrested for driving under the influence and careless driving causing bodily injury.

Held was driving a vehicle when she suddenly accelerated and struck an adult female pedestrian and three other vehicles before coming to a stop. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

A female pedestrian suffered minor injuries after a tire rolled over her foot from one of the vehicles that was struck by the driver.

Held also suffered minor injuries. The juvenile and the driver were both treated at the scene.

All four vehicles involved in the incident were part of the Street Rod Show being held at the fairgrounds. The annual street rod show continued without any interruptions.

An investigation is ongoing.
