More victims join lawsuit against Planned Parenthood

Two more victims have joined a civil lawsuit against Planned Parenthood, drawing attention to more possible security issues at the Colorado Springs clinic.

The original suit alleged that Planned Parenthood didn’t provide adequate security on Nov. 27. No security guard was on duty when Robert Dear opened fire killing three people.

One of the two people joining the case says he was shot inside the clinic, demonstrating to his attorney that Dear had easy access to more than the perimeter of Planned Parenthood.

“Inside the clinic, which the shooter was easily to enter simply by shooting out a window and a door, a lot of the rooms didn’t have locks. The staff was not trained as to which doors had locked and which ones didn’t,” said Kirk McCormick, attorney for the plaintiffs.

Planned Parenthood will file a formal response within 30 days.
