Hit-and-run in Pueblo ends in shutdown of southbound lanes of I-25

A crash on Interstate 25 caused both southbound lanes to shut down on Tuesday night.

C-DOT tweeted at 8:55 p.m. that traffic was being detoured at Exit 122/ Pikes Peak International Raceway.

According to Colorado State Patrol, troopers were trying to pull over a vehicle responsible for a hit and run in Pueblo when the crashed occurred.

The driver went North and traveled in the wrong side of traffic, causing multiple crashes.

The driver has been arrested and was the only one injured on Tuesday.

CDOT reports that the interstate was cleared early Wednesday morning.
