More rain falls in southern Colorado; residents try to battle it all

Storms that swept through southern Colorado may not have been severe but were definitely noticeable.

In Fountain, a downpour just after 6 p.m. turned a parking lot into a creek, with water collecting quickly on the pavement.

“I saw a lot of rain… a lot of water,” said Arthur Roybal. “Saw a lot of trees, with leaves coming off of them.”

In Pueblo, Linda Shields sent KRDO NewsChannel 13 pictures of trees that had toppled due to high winds.

With more rain in the forecast Wednesday, there are new concerns about flooding over saturated ground.
