Mesa Avenue Bridge closure to cause traffic delays in Pueblo

one south-side neighborhood in pueblo will be looking at several months worth of road detours. c-dot says it will close the mesa avenue bridge over i-25 beginning june 27. the bridge will undergo rehab work. if you drive in the area, you know the bridge is showing it’s age. a c-dot spokesman says the bridge is more than 50 years old, and it’s overdue for some much needed care. the entire project should take two months. we’re going to do some deck repairs, repair some bridge abuttments, once that’s done the whole thing will get a water proof membrane and seal. dalton says once all that is done, the bridge will get new railings, and fences to protect drivers and pedestrians.
