Battling the elements… again

weather conditions in an instant. krdo newschannel 13’s greg miller is live tonight watching creek levels in southern colorado. greg you found some folks getting creative in how they beat mother nature. from record highs at the airport earlier today, to downpours this evening. the good news our creek levels look pretty good tonight, as we all go through another round of intense rain. nats – in a matter of minutes nats – a parking lot became a river in fountain. 23:12 a lot of rain… a lot of water people running for cover. 23:15 a lot of trees, with leaves coming off of them. probably gardens storm drains working overtime to keep up with it all. it came down hard and came down fast. 31:16 it’s bad enough to drive around in weather like this… but try doing it without a window. 28:12 i kinda tried to mess with it before i clocked into work, one little slick movement and it just shattered deion daily desperately tried to keep the inside of his car dry. 28:41 it’s been working for awhile. i had a jacket there, but i thought maybe a trash bag would work. admittedly without a lot of luck. 29:25 we had a bad hailstorm, i was in that. 29:33 on my way back from the highway, headed to this mesa bridge exit, i was stuck there for 25 to 35 minutes. and these pictures from linda shields in pueblo – show the damage left behind from strong winds. for now many are left to cope – 30:23 i’ve been trying to stay warm, by saturday i should have a new window with another day of wild weather. these storms were actually under severe limits, but can still prove to be a challenge and even a danger in some spots. live in cs, gm, nc 13. the changing
