Millen Family ready for PPIHC
Drivers are beginning preparations for the 100th Anniversary of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. “You’ve only got one shot on race day, Sunday the 26th, to get it right, and that’s a lot of pressure.” says Rhys Millen, electric modified record holder. Millen is back to defend the record he set a year ago. “Making history last year in an all electric car beating all internal combustion engine cars”
Millen ran a blazing 9:07 last year which should not surprise anyone, racing is in his blood. “We have a race in New Zealand on our farm there, a local festival, and we were racing against each other. So he knows that dad still knows a thing or two.” says Rhys father Rod.
Like father like son. Both Millen’s have found a second home on America’s mountain.
