Fireworks stands begin opening in Pueblo County
Fireworks stands are beginning to pop up in Pueblo County, but whether you will be able to actually set them off is still up in the air.
Big Top Fireworks opens early every year to make sure all of its employees are ready for the Independence Day season. The owner, John Musso, said he watches the weather closely because his business depends on it.
“If Sheriff Taylor or the chief out here was to say something than we would of course tell the customers that come in, we’d tell them, you know, what’s happening in the city and the county,” said John Musso.
Musso added that he hopes to see more moisture in the forecast because there currently no bans in place in Pueblo County and he wants to keep it that way.
Keep in mind, lighting fireworks is illegal until the fourth of July in Pueblo city limits.
