Steamboat Springs City Council reviews free ticket policy

Steamboat Springs City Council members say they made a mistake when they snapped up free concert tickets and they are reviewing the council’s 40-year-old code of ethics.

Council President Walter Magill apologized to his fellow council members for allowing them to vote on the ticket issue and says he made a mistake.

Steamboat Today reports the council in the past has donated its free tickets to nonprofit organizations or volunteers.

The council has decided to take another vote on its decision to take first choice of Strings concert tickets and Free Summer Concert VIP passes.
