Shots fired at busy Fountain Walmart

Police are investigating an incident that put shoppers in the line of fire in a busy Walmart parking lot.

It happened at the store on Highway 85/87, around 7:00pm Friday night.

Witnesses say it started as an argument between a motorcycle rider and a group in a car.

The altercation ended with the rapid firing of six shots, though it’s unclear if it was the cyclist or someone in the car who fired.

No one was hit by bullets, but one woman was injured by flying glass after having her car window shot out.

Police did find the suspect car abandoned about two blocks south of the Walmart.

As of press time, officers were awaiting a warrant to search the car for evidence.

So far, police have not released any suspect information.
