Latest on wildfire in Durango

Emergency responders with La Plata County Sheriff’s Office and the Durango Fire Rescue have been working on containing a wildfire that began on Friday.

As of 9:48 a.m., the 33-acre fire was mostly located in the Los Pinos Fire District. Containment efforts continue.

Durango Fire Rescue tweeted just after 8 a.m. that 25 percent had been contained. There were four engines and a 20-person crew at the scene of the fire.

Air and water drops were used throughout Saturday.

There have also been reports of wildfires near Fort Collins, Loveland, Fountain, Trinidad and one just South of La Junta.
