Thunderbird pilot back in the saddle

The Thunderbird pilot who navigated a crash landing at the beginning of June is back in the bird.

Major Alex Turner returned to the skies on Tuesday for a practice flight.

It was his first flight back after his thunderbird crashed following the Air Force Academy graduation nearly two weeks ago.

The Thunderbirds will resume their demonstrations this weekend in Maryland without Turner.
