Broncos and Brandon Marshall agree on a new contract

Brandon Marshall and the Broncos have agreed on a new four contract extension.

Reportedly, one of the Broncos leading tacklers from a year ago, agreed a on four contract extension that will pay him 32 million dollars.

Marshall will get a ten million dollar signing bonus and twenty million in guaranteed money. The contract will kick in 2017.

John Elway had this to say about the new deal for Marshall on Twitter. “Thrilled that our team has agreed to terms with LB Brandon Marshall on a four-year extension. He’s become an integral part of our defense.”

Marshall has posted back-to-back 100-tackle seasons for the Broncos, who signed him to their practice squad after he was cut twice by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2012.

His 101 stops last season came despite a broken screw in his right foot and a sprained right forefinger that required off-season surgery.

General manager John Elway originally made re-signing Miller a priority but turned his attention to Marshall after Miller rejected a six-year offer with $38.5 million guaranteed.
