Traffic stop leads to Pueblo drug bust

Pueblo Police say drugs and weapons were taken off the streets after a bust that started with a traffic stop.

Police say that on May 25, officers pulled a vehicle over for speeding. They say cocaine was found in the vehicle. They say they received permission to search the driver’s home, where they seized 12 ounces of cocaine and crack cocaine with an estimated street value of $34,000.00, an amount of heroin with an estimated street value of $500.00 and an amount of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $250.00, two firearms and $2,000.00 in cash.

As the investigation continued to unfold, police say they developed information that prompted officers to pull over a green pickup truck. Police say that a half kilo of cocaine with an estimated street value of $51,000.00 was recovered from the truck. A home on Penn Avenue was also searched, where police say they seized over two and a half kilos of cocaine (estimated street value $225,000), two firearms and approximately $45,900.00 in cash.

Angel Alvarez-Alvarado was arrested and faces a charge of Possession of Schedule II with Intent to Distribute.

Angel Dominguez-Pina was arrested and faces a charge of Conspiracy / Possession of Schedule II with intent to Distribute.
