Man wanted on 5 outstanding warrants arrested in Fountain

A traffic stop early Saturday morning led to the arrest of a man who was wanted on five outstanding warrants including felony narcotics violations.

Michael N. Frederico, 25, was taken into custody just after midnight. Officers were scanning license plates, when they came across a green Jeep Cherokee associated with several criminal violations.

Police pulled the vehicle over on Interstate 25 and Highway 16. After questioning the driver and registered owner of the vehicle, Frederico, officers discovered that he was wanted on several outstanding warrants.

Frederico was booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center for his warrants and a new criminal charge of Weapons Violations.
