Colorado Springs man hopitalized after bizarre incident

A man was taken to the hospital Friday night after a bizarre incident that is still being investigated by police.

Officers were called to the 3200 block of Poughkeepsie Drive shortly after 9:00 Friday night, a street bordering Skyview Community Park.

A caller told police that a man was down in the street, covered in blood.

When officers arrived they found not a stabbing or shooting, but a man who had cut himself, possibly while in the process of breaking a neighbor’s window.

According to Sergeant Wilson of the city’s Sand Creek division, it is not clear whether the man was trying to break in, or if he had some other motive.

He was taken to the hospital in fair condition.
