Medal of Honor Recipient recognized by Center for American Values

A Vietnam Veteran and Medal of Honor Recipient was honored in the Home of Heroes Thursday.

Command Sergeant Major Robert Patterson was honored at the Center for American Values for his heroic actions during the war, and for his service after the war.

Patterson says wearing the medal is bigger than himself. “This isn’t your medal. You’re just a caretaker for it. Because it represents all of the soldiers that didn’t come back,” he said.

The Center for American Values is bringing in Medal of Honor recipients in advance of the 2017 Medal of Honor Convention in Pueblo.
