Arrest made in Walgreens parking lot shooting

Colorado Springs Police say an arrest has been made in a shooting that happened in the parking lot of an east side pharmacy Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting happened outside the Walgreens in the 4300 block of E. Platte Avenue, near the intersection of Platte and N. Murray Boulevard.

Alfred Watson, 34, faces a second degree assault charge.

Police say the victim, a 51-year-old man, was shot in the torso. He is expected to survive. They say eight shell casings were found at the scene.

Early reports indicated that an argument in the parking lot may have led to the shooting.
