311 system in the works for Springs citizens

Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers wants to partner with El Paso County to create a 311 system.

It’s one of Mayor’s primary goals for his second year in office.

Suthers hopes the 311 system will make it easier for the people of Colorado Springs to find certain government documents and understand what is considered city or county jurisdiction.

“You could call one number, or make one internet communication, and find out exactly where you need to go for that park permit for your kid’s birthday or where to get food stamps,” explained Suthers.

Suthers’ other goals for 2016 include effectively implementing infrastructure and storm water projects as well as creating landslide legislation.
