Police: Victim wrestles box cutter away from attacker

Colorado Springs Police say a burglary victim was able to turn the tables on their attacker Sunday night.

The incident happened in the 1100 block of N. Weber Street north of downtown at 11:26 p.m. on June 5, 2016.

Police say Terry Ausbun, armed with a box cutter, broke into the home through the back door. They say Ausbun attacked a person in the house with the box cutter before that person was able to get the weapon away from him.

The alleged victim, who suffered serious injuries, held Ausbun down until police arrived.

Ausbun faces charges of burglary, assault and criminal mischief.
