Switchbacks eager to play Rapids

For the second year in a row the Switchbacks earned a shot at Colorado’s premier soccer side, the Colorado Rapids. “Especially after the result last year, I’m thinking about a little revenge.” says Switchbacks striker Aaron King.

Last year they lost 4-1, this year only a win will do and playing the Rapids holds extra meaning for Denver native King. “Everyone’s within 15-20 minutes as opposed to an hour, an hour 20. I already got a couple people asking me when the match is, if they can get tickets. I’ll have a nice crowd for the team.”

The rest of the side believes they can stand toe to toe with their MLS foe. We’re confident and we want to win that game, we want to move on.” says J.J. Greer.

Greer and the Switchbacks return to action Saturday, as they play host to St. Louis in USL competition.
