Rawlings Library hosted its 2nd Annual IDEA Con

Stormtroopers, mermaids and time travelers invaded the Rawlings Library in Pueblo on Saturday.

The library held its second annual IDEA Con.

Technology, art and comics engulfed the facility, leaving kids of all ages amazed. Coordinators told KRDO that they wanted to make it fun for the whole family, and to provide a space that they could come and enjoy some time away from the heat.

The curator of the teen collection said that by looking at the turnout, he thinks this year’s event was a success.

“It can be really intimidating to go to Denver Comicon, which is a huge scale event and everyone has these elaborate cosplays, so we really welcome everyone to come and just check things out.”
