Heat Advisory extended into the work week

Today: Another above average day with high temperatures likely going to tie daily records. The August 9th high temperature for Colorado Springs is 96, which is the anticipated high temp for Sunday. Pueblo's high temp will likely be 103 which again, is their daily high temperature record for Pueblo for August 9th.

Wildfire smoke will still be present in the atmosphere but hazy conditions are expected to be better today. Some brief showers pop up from 1-6 pm. The most likely showers in Colorado Springs will appear around 4 pm, only a light shower is likely.

Tomorrow: Another heat advisory is in place from 12 pm until 8 pm due to more high temperatures in the mid 90s for Colorado Springs and triple digits for Pueblo.
