Family of Blue Angels pilot, Colorado native speaks out

Days after the death of a Blue Angels pilot, his family is speaking out of his courageous spirit.

Captain Jeff Kuss’ Blue Angels Jet crashed during a practice session in Smyrna, Tenn. on Thursday. His family now strong enough to speak about the life he lived say watching Kuss achieve so much, only to have it end so quickly, has been one of the hardest things about the past few days.

“Got to the ultimate peak of the deal, that’s what’s so tough about this. Two days ago he was sky high, top of the world,” said Michael Kuss, father.

Kuss leaves behind a wife and two kids, ages 1 and 4.
