New details in Clark murder

New information has come to light about the night an innocent Pueblo man was shot and killed outside of a downtown bar.

Court records show, the suspect talked about a fight between two gangs before the shooting.

The affidavit shows the murder suspect, Timothy Trujillo, had been drinking at the bar before he left.

He came back later in his white Lincoln MKZ and opened fire. Devin Clark, who was not a gang member, was killed and two others were injured.

Detectives interviewed someone who told them Trujillo talked to with him afterward. Trujillo said he messed up and he thinks he shot someone.

Clark’s family did not want to speak Friday because of the ongoing investigation, but when Trujillo was arrested, Clark’s mother, Heather Poole told us the pain is unrelenting.

“I wake up every morning and I cry every morning, that’s what I do, that’s how I wake up. I’m never going to talk to my son again, I’m never going to hear his voice on the phone again,” Poole said.

The affidavit shows, Trujillo left Pueblo for a week after the shooting. The car and gun involved have not been found. Trujillo will be in court again on the June 14.
