Springs man finds unique way to deal with pesky pothole

A Colorado Springs man took his frustration over a pothole into his own hands.

Bryan Ford owns B & M Auto Repair. He has made several complaints about a pothole outside of his business. After a long period of time with no resolution, he decided to put the roadway hazard to good use.

Ford planted a tree inside of it.

He told KRDO that the last straw was on Tuesday when his forklift had to be pulled out because of a tire getting stuck in the hole.

“As far as I’m concerned, it’s here to stay until the city repairs it or the tree takes root and grows as big as it wants to,” said Ford.

Ford added that he talked with several pothole repair crews, but the city is claiming that he hasn’t filed a formal complaint.
