Money, Jeep stolen in Springs robbery

Colorado Springs Police say a robbery at a northwest side business turned especially personal for the employee who was on duty.

The crime happened in the 4000 block of Arrowswest Drive, near W. Garden of the Gods Road and N. 30th Street, at around 2:30 a.m. on June 1, 2016.

The specific business that was targeted was not identified by police, but there is a convenience store on that block.

Police say the robber flashed a gun and stole cash and cigarettes from the store. They say he then stole the clerk’s Jeep.

The stolen vehicle is described as silver. No license plate number was provided.

The robber is described as having a medium build. He was 20 to 30 years old and wearing a flannel shirt and black pants.
