6 Colorado Red Cross volunteers deployed to Houston

Six Red Cross volunteers from Colorado have been deployed to help respond to flooding in the Houston area.

Red Cross spokesman Bill Fortune says one team left Monday and another left Tuesday in emergency response vehicles. The vehicles are mostly used to provide food to people and a place for workers to meet with those affected by disasters.

The volunteers could be there for up to 21 days depending on the needs of those affected by the floods.
