Local law enforcement step up DUI Enforcement

Local Law enforcement is cracking down on drunk and impaired driving ahead of the holiday weekend.

Extras patrols started on Friday and will continue throughout until the Tuesday.

Officials say they made over 300 arrests during this time period last year.

The Memorial Day weekend is the worst weekend for alcohol related crashes and fatalities.

Over the last eight years 61% of deadly accidents involving alcohol were reported over Memorial Day weekend.
