UPDATE: Suspect arrested after stolen van found with items taken during separate crime inside

Deputies say a 2010 Honda Odyssey was stolen from the 6500 block of Chantilly Place on Thursday night.

The van was found this morning about two miles away on Penacho Circle.

Chantilly is east of Powers and Constitution and Penacho is west of Powers and Constitution, on the east side of the Colorado Springs area.

The family that owns the van says getting it back was a top priority because it contained a loved one’s special needs equipment. The sheriff’s office says the equipment was still in the van when it was found.

The sheriff’s office also says that items that were stolen during another burglary were found in the van.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office now has a person of interest in custody in connection with the investigation and are not seeking any other suspects out.
