Crashes make a mess of the Friday afternoon commute on I-25 through Colorado Springs
The Colorado Department of Transportation reported traffic jams stretching more than five miles on both northbound and southbound I-25 through Colorado Springs.
A couple of different crashes in the area of I-25 and Fontanero contributed to the backups.
The second crash happened on northbound I-25 at Fontanero and blocked the left lane.
The first crash involved a Uhaul truck that was northbound near Fontanero. It came to a rest in the median between the northbound and southbound guardrails.
No information about injuries is available.
