Pueblo SWAT gets barricaded man to surrender
A man surrendered Thursday night without incident following a two-hour standoff with Pueblo County Sheriff’s Deputies and Special Weapons and Tactics team members.
Deputies responded to a home in the 500 block of West Golfwood Drive around 6:30 p.m. because of a report of a family disturbance involving the suspect and his uncle. The uncle was able to get out of the home safely but the suspect barricaded himself inside the home, where reportedly there were numerous weapons.
The SWAT team members were able to negotiate with the man, and he surrendered after a few hours. He was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
The investigation is ongoing.
