Mountain lion spotted in Colorado Springs tree

A large mountain lion was spotted in a tree in Colorado Springs Tuesday.

The neighborhood where this is happening is on the west side of the city.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife says it does not plan to respond to tranquilize the cat because it would likely end in a fatal fall for the animal.

Parks and Wildlife says if everyone leaves the mountain lion alone, it will likely eventually come down and wander off on its own.
