UPDATE: Planned Parenthood shooter moved to Pueblo mental hospital

Weeks after Robert Dear’s competency hearing, Dear was transferred to the State Mental Health Institute in Pueblo.

Earlier in May, doctors testified that Dear was suffering from a delusional disorder where he believes he is being chased by the FBI.

The Judge ruled that Dear must spend at least 90 days at the mental hospital.

Dear is the self-proclaimed gunman behind the 2015 shooting of a Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood. Three people were killed. In a phone interview with KRDO’s Heather Skold, he said the act was a “righteous crusade.”

Another hearing for Dear is scheduled for August 11.
