Viral video of alleged child abuse leads to mom’s arrest

A Colorado mother caught on camera screaming and cursing at her toddler is now facing charges.

The video has gone viral on social media, causing an outrage of parents and non-parents alike. It was taken in Lochbuie just northeast of Denver.

In the video, the mother, 27-year-old Katrina Kennedy-Flores, is heard yelling and threatening to kill her son over a missing cell phone charger.

According to a tweet made by the Lochbuie Police Department on Thursday, the mother has been arrested and the child placed in protective custody.

Kennedy-Flores was arrested on two counts of “cruelty toward a child” and is being held on a $3,000 bond. The woman who recorded the video is also facing an abuse charge for not preventing the incident. She is due in court July 18.
