Traffic delays expected for Colorado College graduation

Hundreds of seniors are getting ready to graduate this morning from Colorado College.

Expect some traffic and heavy delays in the area this morning.

The ceremony starts at 8:30 a.m. at Palmer Hall. Over 500 students are graduating for the class of 2016.

Colorado College is located north of downtown Colorado Springs on Cascade and Nevada between Uintah Street and Cache La Poudre Street.

Colorado College Alumna Marcia Mcnutt is expected to give this year’s commencement address. She is known as a leader in the scientific community, and will become the first woman president of the National Academy of Sciences.

The ceremony is open to the public and will go until 11:30 a.m.
