New Colorado College graduates looking towards bright future

Hundreds gathered at the Armstrong Quad at Colorado College Monday morning to celebrate a fresh batch of graduates.

There were 520 students that made up the class of 2016.

After several days of setting up, the commencement began at 8:30 a.m. on Monday.

Colorado College Alumna Marcia McNutt, a well-known geophysicist and leader within the science community, gave this year’s commencement address.

One graduate said he was excited and eager for the opportunities ahead.

“I have a research intern position with the Air Force Academy. I’m looking forward to that. I’m going to be doing base line concussion tests on Air Force cadets,” said Julian Mcginn.

There are now more than 30,000 Colorado College alumni
