Colorado nurse was able to keep working despite abuse claims

A Colorado nurse is charged with inappropriately touching six women under his care in Colorado and three more in Nebraska.

Documents show that the criminal investigation of Thomas Moore of Eaton began last summer when a woman reported being fondled by him at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins in 2013. Police have since uncovered more allegations against Moore through hospital records and women stepping forward after learning about his arrest in the Fort Collins case.

Despite being fired from at least two hospitals amid accusations of misconduct, Moore continued finding work at hospitals until he was arrested in December.

He remains jailed and his attorneys didn’t return calls seeking comment. He is scheduled to appear in a Colorado court Monday.

The states of Alaska and Wyoming suspended Moore’s license.
