Falcon District 49 passes policy on medical marijuana in schools

Falcon District 49 became the first district in the state to allow medical marijuana on school district property this week.

The district’s Board of Education voted unanimously Thursday evening to adopt a new policy allowing parents or approved caregivers to provide non-inhalable cannabis products to qualified students.

Prior to the vote, several parents of special needs children thanked the board for considering the policy.
