Arrest made in shooting of Colorado Springs teenager
Colorado Springs Police say an arrest has been made after a teenager was shot during an argument near downtown Thursday.
The victim, 17, was taken to Memorial Hospital by a passerby. He is in stable condition and is expected to survive.
Police say the teen was walking in the 500 block of N. Royer Street when he was confronted by another male. The situation quickly escalated and the teen was shot.
Police announced Tuesday that Tyree Perry, 18, has been arrested in this case. He faces a charge of attempted first degree murder.
Police say they think the shooting was the result of an attempted robbery.
