Man found dead over the weekend ID’d, death ruled homicide

The Colorado Springs Police Department says a man who was found dead in a car in the Ivywild Neighborhood Saturday morning was shot.

Police were called to the area of Cheyenne Boulevard and Ramona Avenue at around 9 a.m.

The victim has been identified as Oscar Navarrete-Moreno, 18, of Colorado Springs.

Navarrete-Moreno died from a gunshot wound. His death has been ruled a homicide.

Police do not have any suspects in the killing.

Ivywild is located about a mile south of downtown.
