Changes coming to roads near Colorado College
Major changes are coming to roads near Colorado College in Colorado Springs.
Residents and students got a look at those changes Tuesday during an open house.
Five roads, Cascade, Nevada and Wasatch avenues and Fontanero and Weber streets will all lose lanes. Currently all of them are four-lane roads. The city will get rid of a lane on each side and turn them into bike or turn lanes over the next two years.
The hope is to improve pedestrian and student safety.
Work is expected to being this summer.
