Retired Colorado Springs police K-9 passes away

A retired Colorado Springs police K-9 named Rico has passed away.

On the Colorado Springs Police K-9 Unit Facebook page, a post said, ” It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of retired canine Rico. Rico served our community well, keeping us all safe until his retirement in December. Rico was one of the most successful canines in our unit’s history. He was 11 years old.”
