PEDCO wants to create 500 new jobs by end of 2016
PEDCO wants to put 500 more people to work by the end of the year.
People brought their ideas to the group Tuesday night on how to reach that goal.
Don Bruestle, who lives in Pueblo, said it all starts with improving education because that can attract more people to the city and create a future workforce.
“Give more attention to helping children, get a good start in life or early childhood education, be supportive of families. We have a lot of struggling families,” he said.
PEDCO currently uses the half-cent sales tax to bring in more businesses to create jobs.
The group wants to create more jobs in aerospace, rail, hemp and outdoor recreation.
