Accident sends pedestrian to hospital with serious injuries
Colorado Springs police officers responded to an auto/pedestrian accident at 9:45pm Monday night.
It happened at 21st and Cimarron.
Lt. Steve Noblitt said it looked like someone was struck while trying to cross the street outside of the crosswalk. He or shewas taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The eastbound lane of Highway 24 was closed for a short time.
The pedestrian will be ticketed.
The driver was not seriously hurt.
