Internet predator posing as teenage boy to target girls in El Paso County
The El Paso County Sheriff’s office says teenage girls in our community are being targeted by an online predator.
Investigators say the predator is posing as a teenage boy named “Alex Levin.” They say he randomly sends friend requests to girls between the ages of 12 and 15.
Once the friend request is accepted and the predator obtains a clear photo of his target’s face, investigators say he threatens to Photoshop the victim’s face onto pornographic images on numerous websites if she doesn’t continue to send him nude photos and videos.
If the victim fails to send the requested media, deputies say the predator threatens to tell someone on her friends list, usually a sibling or parent with the same last name.
Investigators think the predator lives in another country and says parents and potential victims should be aware of online predators at all times.
