Deputies: Would-be burglars caught red handed

The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office says deputies surprised two teens that were burglarizing a Pueblo West home.

Deputies went to the home in the 100 block of E. Del Rio at around 12:35 p.m. after a neighbor reported seeing two males breaking a window to get inside.

The teens ran from the back of the home and jumped a fence when they realized the deputies were outside.

After a short chase, the teens, ages 15 and 17, were arrested.

The sheriff’s office says a loaded handgun and several items of jewelry were recovered.
