Jorge De La Rosa put on disabled list

The Colorado Rockies have placed left-hander Jorge De La Rosa on the 15-day disabled list with a left groin strain and recalled righty Eddie Butler from Triple-A Albuquerque.

Butler is available out of the bullpen for Wednesday’s game against Pittsburgh.

De La Rosa (1-3, 10.18 ERA) left Tuesday’s loss to the Pirates after allowing four runs in three innings. He trotted gingerly to first base after grounding out to lead off the third inning.

Butler is making his first appearance with the Rockies this season. Butler, Colorado’s first-round pick in 2012 out of Radford, is 4-11 with a 6.04 ERA in 19 major league starts over the past two seasons. Butler is 2-0 with a 4.09 ERA in six starts with Albuquerque this season.

The Rockies have a full 40-man roster.
