Police dog tracks Colorado Springs menacing/burglary suspect

A Colorado Springs police dog helped officers track and arrest a man accused of Felony Menacing and First Degree Burglary.

Officers responded to the 3600 block of El Morro Road on Wednesday after a woman called 911 saying a man was threatening her with a gun. When they arrived, the man ran to a nearby creek bed between Delta Drive and Academy Boulevard.

That’s when officers set up containment area and Canine Officer Radke and his K9 Ozzie were called out. Ozzie tracked the man who was hiding in thick brush.

He was taken into custody and taken to the hospital for minor injuries sustained from Ozzie.
