Sanders, Cruz supporters ponder future as Clinton, Trump solidify primary leads

Tom Antkow is a New Yorker, a conservative Republican and a Colorado delegate.

“Donald Trump is too angry and I’m fed up with being angry,” Antkow said.

The Colorado Springs business owner will not support Trump if he is the Republican nominee in November.

“I just can’t find it in my heart to vote for that man,” Antkow said. “I would have felt a little better if he didn’t disrespect our state by not even bothering to come. If you’re going to be that dedicated, you go to every state and do what needs to be done on the grassroots level so that people will respect you and hear you in person.”

Angelina Hagan, 24, enjoyed a life-changing moment this last weekend when she was elected to go to Philadelphia and the Democratic National Convention as a Bernie Sanders delegate.

If faced with a different choice in the fall, Hagan will support Hillary Clinton and the Democratic ticket.

“She will have my vote because what could happen if someone on the other side was elected is too scary, too terrifying,” Hagan said.

The millennial contends the stakes are just too high to sit out the election.

“I don’t want to negatively affect someone else by me not voting,” Hagan said.
